NERSANT Competitive Sustainability | Visual Identity and Website
Promoting the competitiveness of SMEs in the Santarém Region
Visual identity, brand toolkit and website for NERSANT Competitive Sustainability, a COMPETE 2030 project that helps SMEs in the Santarém Region become more competitive through sustainable, ESG-aligned business models.

The client
Helping the region’s SMEs compete through sustainability
NERSANT Competitive Sustainability is a project by NERSANT, the Business Association of the Santarém Region, supported by COMPETE 2030 within the SIAC Qualificação programme. It helps small and medium-sized enterprises in the region adopt sustainable, innovative business models aligned with ESG criteria.
The project works on three fronts: sustainable business models, training to access European funding, and cooperation between companies. We designed its identity and website in partnership with Magellan Circle.

The challenge
A new project inside a renewed institution
NERSANT was renewing its own identity at the same time, built on semicircular, modular shapes and on the red and green of the Portuguese flag. The project needed a brand of its own that could sit next to the NERSANT logo and the funding logos without competing with them.
It also needed a home online: one place for funding opportunities, monthly bulletins of open calls and programme sheets, the ESG Barometer for local companies, the regional roadshow and the news from every event.
The brief: one identity that speaks of competitiveness and sustainability at once, the tools to use it every day, and a website that busy business owners can find their way around.

Brand identity
Two half circles, one direction
The wordmark is set in bold capitals on two lines. Two half circles, red after COMPETITIVE and green before SUSTAINABILITY, frame the name and echo the semicircular language of the new NERSANT identity.
A red bar inside each E and a green stroke on the Y carry the colours into the letters. Put together, the two half circles become the symbol used for avatars and backgrounds: competitiveness and sustainability held in balance.
The palette follows the institution: a deep navy, a signal red and a growth green. The typeface is Swiza, a modern sans serif with weights from Thin to Bold.

Brand applications
A toolkit for every day
Alongside the logo, we delivered a brand manual with colour versions, the signature with the NERSANT logo and the funding bar, colours and typography; PowerPoint and Word templates for presentations and reports; an email signature; and banners and avatars for the project’s social media.

Website
Clear paths to funding and ESG
We organised the site around what a business owner looks for: open funding calls, programme sheets, the ESG Barometer and the next event. The homepage presents the project’s three areas of work and brings the latest news to the front in a carousel.
Built on WordPress with Elementor, the site follows the brand closely: deep navy backgrounds, the half circles as a recurring motif and red and green accents. It is fully responsive and easy for the NERSANT team to update.
Opportunities
Monthly bulletins of open calls and programme sheets for Horizon Europe, Digital Europe, Erasmus+, LIFE and more, ready to download.
ESG and SMEs
The ESG Barometer, a free self-assessment that shows each company its maturity in the environmental, social and governance pillars.
Roadshow
The Ribatejo Invest 2030 roadshow, taking funding and sustainability sessions to the municipalities of the Médio Tejo and Lezíria do Tejo.
News and events
Workshops, conferences and the Green Talks, with every event and news story in one listing.
Newsletter
Every issue of the project newsletter in one place, and a sign-up form in the footer of every page.
Final event
A page for Green Days Lezíria 2026, the project’s closing ESG forum in Coruche.

The outcome
One brand from the first workshop to the final forum
NERSANT Competitive Sustainability went public with one consistent identity across its website, presentations, reports and social media. The site gathers the project’s opportunities, tools and events, and leads up to Green Days Lezíria 2026, the closing forum on 27 October.
